14 new suspected dengue cases reported at PGI

Chandigarh, Oct 6 (UNI) Fourteen new cases of suspected dengue fever were reported at the PGIMER here today.

Out of 14 patients, (13 adults and 1 child), five have come from Uttar Pradesh, five are from Haryana and two each from Punjab and Union Territory of Chandigarh, a PGI press release stated.

Since September 30th, the PGI had 22 positive cases (19 adults and 3 children). Out of these positive cases nine had been discharged (8 adults and 1 child). The PGI had 32 suspected cases, (28 adults and 4 children). Out of these 11 had been discharged and the rest 21 (17 adults and 4 children) were under observation.

The reports of all of the patients are awaited. None of the remaining rest admitted or suspected patients had any significant complications and no death has been reported.
