ULFA hurls grenade, 2 hurt
Guwahati, Oct 5 (UNI) At least two persons, including a policeman, were injured when suspected ULFA militants hurled a low intensity grenade at the Doomdooma police station in Tinsukia district this evening, official source said.
ULFA has stepped up their attack on the security forces after the resumption of army operation against them last week.
Doomdooma is about 510 km from Guwahati in the North eastern most part of the state, where ULFA has a strong base.
In the neighbouring Indo-Myamnmar border the army have increased their presence and started a search operation to flush out any possible hideouts of the ULFA in the inaccessible jungles.
