TI Cycles launches BSA workouts range

Bangalore, Oct 5 (UNI) TI Cycles of India, one of the country's largest bicycle manufacturer, today announced its foray into the fitness equipment market with the launch of BSA workouts range of cardio and strength equipment.

Announcing this to newspersons here, TI Cycles President G Ramprasad said the full range would be available in top 20 cities in the country by March 2007. The new range of fitness equipment was targetted at the fitness-conscious urbanites looking to workout at their convenience, he added.

The BSA workouts range, to be imported from various countries such as Taiwan, consisted Exerciser Cycles, Recumbent Bike, Elliptical Trainer, Motorised Treadmill and the Home Gym.

Mr Ramprasad said the size of the Home segment was around Rs 300 crore and was growing at the rate of about 30 per cent annually and the company was targetting to garner at least 20 per cent market share by ensuring a turnover of Rs 50 crore in the next three years.

The corporate and gym sector market was worth around Rs 1,000 crore.

To a question, he said the company would think of manufacturing the equipment if the business picked up in the next few years.
