Monsoon departs from MP; temperature rises
Bhopal, Oct 5 (UNI) The southwest monsoon has begun departing from Madhya Pradesh with the temperature soaring high at 40 degrees Celsius at Sheopur Kalan.
The maximum temperature recorded was three to four degrees above normal in the state capital and other places.
''The monsoon left northern Madhya Pradesh yesterday. Moisture prevails in the Indore region due to upper air cyclonic circulation over Maharashtra,'' said Regional Meteorological Centre Director D P Dubey.
The monsoon arrived in the state on June 29, about a fortnight behind the schedule, but was healthy as 34 districts received excess rains.
