Five landmines recovered in Chatra
Chatra, Oct 5 (UNI) Police recovered five landmines, each weighing 15 kg, from Labalong-Bahradih road under Simaria police station in Jharkhand's Chatra district today.
Superintendent of Police Subodh Prasad told UNI that the landmines were planted under a 100 metre-long divergent road which was constructed for building a poll on the main road.
CRPF and STF personnel were carying out raids in the area, he said.
Yesterday, a powerful landmine was recovered in Bokaro district.
The police defused the landmine weighing about 20 kg planted at Budgadda-Lokobad road.
