Dry spell continues, North Westerlies bring down mercury

New Delhi, Oct 5 (UNI) Dry spell witnessed in Delhi over the last 10 days continued today even as North Westerly Winds led to a slight drop in mercury in the capital.

The Northwesterly winds led to a slight drop in maximum temperature to 36.8 degrees Celsius.

It was another dry day for Delhi with the capital witnessing a predominantly clear sky.

The dry weather is likely to persist in the coming days with the South West Monsoon withdrawing from some more parts of North West India from yesterday.

Following its exit from several parts of East and West Uttar Pradesh yesterday, the monsoon has now withdrawn from almost the entire North West India indicating that the dry spell would continue in the coming days.

Weathermen have forecast a dry weather in North West India in the coming three to four days.

For Delhi, weathermen forecast a mainly clear sky, partly cloudy towards the afternoon during the next 24 hours.
