Curfew relaxed in MP town

Chhindwara, Oct 5 (UNI) Curfew imposed on this district headquarters two days back was relaxed for three-and-a-half hours from 0700 hrs today following improvement in the situation.

The curfew was imposed late on October 3 after tension between two communities in the wake of an objectionable object being hurled at an immersion procession.

''No violence has been reported from the town. Curfew will be relaxed again from 1700 to 1900 hrs. The relaxation periods tomorrow will be 0700 to 1400 hrs and 1700 to 2000 hrs. All educational institutions will reopen tomorrow,'' Collector Arun Pandey told mediapersons.

Medicine shops were open during the curfew. A mutton market would be shifted at the earliest.
