BJP workers clash with cops

Varanasi, Oct 5 (UNI) Two police personnel were injured when BJP workers clashed with cops at the Varanasi Nagar Nigam (VNN) office during nominations for local body polls here today.

Police said a group of BJP workers accompanying their candidates tried to force way into the VNN office, despite heavy police presence. When stopped, they clashed with cops and ransacked VNN property.

Two police constable sustained minor injuries in the clash.
