Woman shot dead

Basti, Oct 3 (UNI) A woman was shot dead by unidentified miscreants in Bharwalia Tikolia village under Lalganj area here today.

Police superintendent R P Chaturvedi said Meena Devi was standing near the banks of Saryu, when a bullet hit her.

She died on the spot.

Meanwhile, sources said Meena fell to a hunter's bullet.

Investigations are on.
