Vasdev Loong new President of Garment Exporters Assn.

New Delhi, OCt 3 (UNI) Mr Vasdev Loond has been unanimously elected President of Garments Exporters Association (GEA) for the year 2006-07.

He is the CEO of Mona Designs, a leading manufacturer and exporter of international repute. He had set up the garment import trade in Paris in 1974 under the brand name ISHWAR.

Mr Loond has long experience as a buyer and exporter with detailed knowledge of production and related subjects.

Mr Loond, in his capacity as GEA President, aims to address common problems faced by the trade and to take steps to increase productivity to reduce production cost and develop healthy relationships between the management, workers and trade union.
