TRS gears up for 'Palle Bata'

Hyderabad, Oct 3 (UNI) After snapping ties with the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance, the Telangana Rashtra Samiti -- floated with the 'one-point agenda' of realising statehood for Telangana-- is gearing up to hold 'Palle Bata' (mass contact programme) from tomorrow.

TRS Chief K Chandrasekara Rao, who resigned from the Union Cabinet and Karimnagar Lok Sabha seat to pressurise the Congress, will launch the programme at the Telangana Bhavan here with a call to the cadre to go to villages and strengthen the party at the grassroot level.

Party spokesperson Prakash told UNI that ahead of by-elections following the resignation of Mr Rao, the party would use 'Palle Bata' to re-organise and strengthen its units at the villages, mandal and district levels to give a fillip to the movement.
