TN police register case against P J Joseph

Chennai, Oct 3 (UNI) Tamil Nadu police today registered a case under a non-bailable section of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 1988, against former Kerala PWD Minister P J Joseph, following a formal complaint from actress Lakshmi Gopakumar.

Ms Gopakumar lodged a written complaint with the Airport Police Station, alleging that Mr Joseph misbehaved with her on a Kochi-bound Kingfisher Airlines flight on August three.

Following this, police registered a case against Mr Joseph under Sec 354 IPC (outraging a woman's modesty) and Section four of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 1988 and formed a special team led by Assistant Commissioner Kuppusamy to investigate.
