Tirumala: 9 day annual 'Brahmotsavam' ends today

Tirumala, Oct 3: The nine-day-long annual 'Brahmotsavam' at Tirumala concluded today with 'Chakrasnanam' immersion of Sudarsana Chakram of the Lord in the sacred temple tank.

Thousands of devotees worshipped Lord Malayappaswamy, as the idol was taken in a procession to the temple of Lord Varahaswami on the west bank of the Swami Pushkarani.

The Chief Priest performed 'Abhishekam' on the idol amidst chanting of vedic hymns.

In the evening, the hoisted 'Garuda flag' would be lowered and 'Dwaja Avarohanam' would be performed, marking the conclusion of the nine-day-long festival.
