Scribe assaulted by goons

Kolkata, Oct 3 (UNI) India TV Principal Correspondent, Kolkata, Prasenjit Bakshi was assaulted by a group of hoodlum near his house at Baguiati in North 24 Parganas last night, police said today.

The icident took place when Mr Bakshi tried to stop the goons from ransacking a roadside eatery. The group of five gave vent to their anger and roughed him up.

Baguiati Investigation centre OC Mr Ali told UNI,''Two of the accused have already been nabbed and we are lokking for the other three.'' ''The three are absconding. All five were in inebriated condition when the inciodent occurred,'' he said, Meanwhile, Mr Bakshi was being treated at a hospital with injuries on his left eye and ribs.
