Rupee opens strong at Rs 45.86/88 per USD

Mumbai, Oct 3 (UNI) The rupee today opened strong by five pasie at Rs 45.86/88 per US dollar as compared to the previous close of Rs 45.93 per USD, over stagnating US data, a trader in the money market said.

In the mid-morning trade, the domestic currency was trading at Rs 45.83/84 per USD.

The stock market opened strong by 19 points and is currently trading 27 points up at 12,481.36 UNI VS SSS NV1243
