Rediff Bol now in Hindi

New Delhi, Oct 3 (UNI) Enabling the Indian youth to stay connected through the use of the national language Hindi, Rediff.com India Ltd, leading portal of news, information, communication, entertainment and shopping services, today announced the launch of 'Rediff Bol', an instant messaging service' in Hindi.

The Hindi service has been launched after a huge response received by Rediffmail Hindi, from internet users across various population strata.

''We are delighted to announce the launch of 'Rediff Bol in Hindi' with features that seek to simplify and speed up the communication process for those internet users, who prefer communicating in Hindi across towns in north and west India,'' Rediff.com Vice President Marketing Manish Agarwal said.

He added that continuing this trend, Rediff.com will very soon introduce other Indian languages in Rediff Bol.

With the 'Rediff Bol in Hindi', the users will be now equipped with the option of choosing Hindi as a language for chatting and instant messaging. One can choose Hindi from the list of languages on their chat window, which is available as a dropdown menu.

Rediff has put in place a complete customer care system for Rediff Bol users that can be accessed by clicking on the link -- http://support.rediff.com/support/index.html.

According to figures released by the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI), 98 per cent of the 38.5 million Indian internet users access emails, and a whopping 54 per cent growth was seen in the user base to 25 million in 2005-06.

According to JuxtConsult, an online research and advisory firm, 49 per cent use internet for chatting; 18 per cent of the internet users prefer Hindi as a language for reading and 17 per cent have visited the Hindi language websites over a period of a month.
