Rashid takes sole lead at Sunfeast Chandigarh Junior Golf

Chandigarh, Oct 3 (UNI) Delhi's Rashid Khan fired an opening round of three-under 69 to grab the sole lead in Category 'A' of the Sunfeast Chandigarh Junior/Sub-Junior Golf Championship at the par-72 Chandigarh Golf Club here today.

The tournament forms the sixth leg of the National Junior/Sub-Junior golf tour.

The trio of Rahul Bakshi, Amanjyot Singh and Abhinav Lohan shared the second place at level par 72, while Abhijeet Chadha was placed fifth at two-over 74.

Category 'B' witnessed Raghav Bhandari shoot an opening round of three-over 75 to take a single stroke lead over Anish Gupta, who carded a round of 76. Chikka Rangappa was placed third at 78.

In category 'C', desp[ite a poor eight-over 80 in the opening round, Ashbeer Saini took the lead. He is closely followed by Ankur Chadha and Tarundeep Chadha who shot nine-over 81 and ten-over 82 respectively.
