PR Kyndiah tours state to review projects

Imphal, Oct 3: Union DoNER and Tribal Affairs Minister P R Kyndiah today toured the state to take stock of the developmental works, undertaken by his Ministry.

The Minister was on a three-day visit to Manipur.

Last evening he called on Manipur Governor Dr S S Sidhu.

A Raj Bhawan communique said they discussed various issues, including the ongoing projects taken up by the DoNER, and areas, where the Ministry could provide support.

Mr Kyndiah also discussed various issues with Manipur Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh and Congress leaders.

Congress president Gaikhangam and former Chief Minister Rishang Keishing, MP, also discussed various issues with Mr Kyndiah, Congress sources said.

Official sources said the state government was keen on making the DoNER take up works related to roads and other developmental projects.

The Minister along with Manipur Chief Minister and other officials will tour Ukhrul, Tamenglong and Churachandpur district hqs to discuss various issues and see the projects taken up by the government.
