No compromise on sovereignty issue: NDFB
Serphanguri, Asom, Oct 3 (UNI) The National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) today said there would be ''no compromise on sovereignty issue'' and threatened to go to jungles again to achieve their goal.
Addressing the 20th raising day of the outfit at a designated camp here, NDFB general secretary Govinda Basumatary alleged that the NDFB had received ''not so good response from the Centre'' on sovereignty issue of the Bodos, and asked their cadres to be prepared to go to the jungles again if the government did not take early step to concede their demands.
NDFB spokesman S Sanjaram said, ''The Centre is humiliating the freedom struggle of the NDFB and Bodos by asking us to place charter of demands after twenty years of struggle. '' The NDFB spokesman sought to know the whereabouts of their several top leaders, who allegedly went missing during the flushing out of militants from Bhutan by the Indian Army.
