Nine killed in a major accident in Jharkhand

Hazaribagh, Oct 3 (UNI) At least nine people were killed and two seriously injured when a lorry overturned during a an immersion procession in the Charhi town of the district last night.

Police here today said the accident occurred on the main road near local football ground when a milk-carrying lorry suddenly overturned amidst the procession killing six people on the spot, while three others succumbed later.

All the deceased were identified.

Details were awaited.
