Kerosene tankers goes missing, case against six persons
Shahdol, MP, Oct 3 (UNI) Two kerosene tankers, meant for distribution of oil at ration shops in Annupur district, have gone missing, police said today.
A fraud case was registered against six people, including five petrol pump owners, responsible for distribution of kerosene based on complaint by Assistant Food Officer Rajendra Singh, official sources said.
The accused -- Premkumar Singhania, Bhakturam, Ashok Kumar, Gopiram, Lallan Shukla and Prahlad Raj -- had been given contract for distributing kerosene.
Eight tankers were sent for distribution of kerosene at concessional rates through societies from Jabalpur depo to Annupur district during the first fortnight of September.
Only six tankers reached Annupur, while two tankers, containing 24,000 litres kerosene, went missing.
However, receipts of distribution of kerosene contained in eight tankers were submitted.
