India Carpet Expo'06 from Oct 14

Bhadohi, Oct 3 (UNI) In a bid to promote carpet trade and exports, a two-day event 'India Carpet Expo 2006' is being organised at Varanasi from October 14.

At least 150 foreign importers have confirmed their participation in the expo, besides registration of 100 exhibitors, Carpet Export Promotion Council President V R Sharma said here today.

''The Expo will offer a golden chance for small and medium carpet traders in the region to showcase their products and expand business,'' Mr Sharma added.

Bhadohi and Varanasi are two of the most prominent carpet manufacturing centres in the country.
