HSCI sales jump over 51pc in September 2006

New Delhi, Oct 3: Premium car maker Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) today reported a 51.6 per cent jump in its September sales at 5,993 units as against 3,953 units in the corresponding month last year.

HSCI's flagship model City lead the sales with 3,776 units sold during the month while Honda Civic recorded selling 1,999 cars and Accord 206 units. The CRV model sold 12 units during September'06.

The company's cumulative sales during April-September'06 also climbed by 30 per cent at 28,953 units as against 22,263 units in April-September'05.

HSCI earlier announced it will raise its capacity to 1,00,000 cars per annum from 50,000 cars at its Greater Noida facility by the end of 2007.
