Haryana: 33 dengue cases, Rapid Response Teams formed
Chandigarh, Oct 3 (UNI) With 33 dengue, cases so far, Haryana, has decided to deploy rapid response teams at all district headquarters to set in motion prompt control measures in case of outbreak.
An official spokesman said while only one death had been reported so far in a suspected dengue case in Faridabad district, as many as 33 confirmed cases of the deadly disease had been reported from four districts of the state.
Haryana health authorities, he said, were closely monitoring the situation in the state and had taken effective steps to check the spread of disease that had struck Delhi and its adjoining areas.
''A rapid response team will be functioning at each and every district headquarters which would promptly institute necessary control measures in case of outbreak,'' he added.
A state-level control room has been set up at the office of Director, Health Services (Malaria) here while district-level control rooms would work round-the-clock in the offices of Civil Surgeons in every district, the spokesman said.
The situation would be monitored daily by the district officers and also at the State headquarters, he added.
As many as 15 cases dengu cases have been reported in Faridabad district, followed by 11 in Gurgaon district, six in Panchkula and one in Sonepat district.
