Govt. to make available land for BSF unit

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 3 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan told the State Assembly today that 85 acres of land would be made available in Kunnukara village of Parur taluk (Ernakulam district) to set up a unit of the Border Security Force (BSF).

Replying to a Calling Attention motion by Mr K K Shaju (RSP), he said no filling of paddy field was required to provide the land.

He said the governmnet decided to makle available the land following a request from the BSF Director-General.

The land identified for the purpose was not far away from the Nedumbassery International Airport.
