Gandhi Jayanti special rebate campaign launched

New Delhi, Oct 3 (UNI) Minister of Small Scale and Agro Rural Industries Mahavir Prasad launched the Gandhi Jayanti special rebate campaign on Khadi products here today.

The maximum discount available to the customers this year is 35 per cent on cotton, silk, wollen khadi and polyvastra.

To increase the sales of KVIC, 50 new KVI products have been added this time including Sambalpuri Saree, Endi, Silk and Mooga Silk.

KVIC markets its products, particularly Village Industries Products by standardising its specification and packaging.

It has fixed a sales target of Rs 41 crores for 2006-07 for the Khadi Gramodyog Bhavan.

The quality of Khadi and Village Industries products has improved a lot with the intervention of Design input in production, processing and packaging.
