Four ULFA cadres arrested for Dhemaji blast

Dhemaji, Oct 3 (UNI) Four ULFA militants involved in yesterday's grenade attack at a puja pandal here were arrested from Arunachal- Asom border today.

Police informed that the four militants were arrested after massive combing operations in the area.

In a grenade attack early yesterday, an eight-year-old boy was killed and 18 others injured, including four police personnel.

The grenade was aimed at a police patrol party.

Of the injured, the condition of five was stated to be critical.

They were shifted to the Assam Medical College and Hospital, Dibrugarh, while others were admitted to the Dhemaji Civil Hospital.

The condition of 14-month old Barasha Dihingia, sister of the boy who was killed, was stated to be critical.

Undergoing treatment at the AMCH, she was in coma. Doctors attending her said her chances of recovery could be stated only after an operation is performed tomorrow.

The child's mother was also admitted in a serious condition in the same hospital.

Meanwhile, about 100 organisations would stage on a dharna on October 5 against the attack on innocent citizens by ULFA.
