CSC names new President for India operations
New Delhi, Oct 3 (UNI) California-based global IT services company Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) today said Mr Bala Mahadevan has been named President of CSC's India operations.
He will be responsible for the financial and operational performance of the business unit, including the management of more than 7,000 professionals that provide product development, application management and remote infrastructure services within the region.
Mr Mahadevan will report to Mary Jo Morris, President of CSC's Global Transformation Services business unit, and replace Tom Kenyon, who has been interim president for the past 12 months and will be returning to a senior role in North America.
''Bala is a seasoned executive with 23 years of experience in the IT industry,'' said the CSC president. ''His experience and strategic leadership skills will strengthen CSC's ability to build strategic relationships and deliver results to clients.'' Mr Mahadevan joins CSC from Hewlett Packard (HP) GlobalSoft, where he was director of global delivery and application services.
Previously, he worked for DEC and Compaq in marketing, sales, business development and programme management and for Covansys and TCS in operations and software development.
CSC reported revenues of 14.6 billion dollars for the 12 months ended June 30, 2006.
