Chhattisgarh govt suspends senior IAS
Raipur, Oct 3 (UNI) The Chhattisgarh government today suspended Administrative Academy Director-General P Raghavan in view of a chargesheet, filed by the Madhya Pradesh Economic Offences Wing, for alleged corruption in purchase of autorickshaws.
An official spokesman told UNI here that Mr Raghavan was managing director of the Scheduled Castes Finance Corporation in undivided Madhya Pradesh. The chargesheet was filed on September 29 in a sessions court at Bhopal. Mr Raghavan was granted bail the following day.
Recently, the bureaucrat alleged that former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Digvijay Singh orchestrated the case.
