Carborundum Universal opens new plant in TN

New Delhi, Oct 3 (UNI) Carborundum Universal Ltd today said it has established a new coated abrasives plant at Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu at a cost of about Rs 50 crore.

The plant inaugurated yesterday, has a capacity to manufacture 15 million square metres of coated abrasive products per annum and has commenced trial production.

The plant has a state-of-the-art 1650 mm wide width maker and is one of the largest plants in Asia.

With this facility in place, the company has enhanced its total coated abrasives manufacturing capacity from about 11 million square metres to 26 million square metres per annum.
