'Budget issues with ICC before Champions trophy disturbing'

Mumbai, Oct 3 (UNI) The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) today said it is not satisfied with some of the unresolved budget issues with the ICC regarding to the Champions Trophy.

BCCI vice President Lalit Modi said here that the unresolved budget issues ''were disturbing'' with the Rajasthan and Punjab cricket associations having not yet signed the venues agreement for matches to be hosted at Jaipur and Mohali, respectively.

The ten-team Champions Trophy is to be held at four centres, Mumbai's Cricket Club of India and Ahmedabad's Motera Stadium being the other two centres, from October 7 - November 5.

The ICC has insisted on a 'clean stadium' to host these matches by which no images other than its sponsors' and partners' could be exhibited inside the stadium.

The ICC's strict ambush marketing clause by which it protects its sponsors' and commercial partners' rights in tournaments directly organised by it has caused heartburns to the Indian cricket board in the past too.
