British Dy High Commissioner meets Guj officials for economic ties

Gandhinagar, Oct 3 (UNI) Deputy British High Commissioner Vicky Tridel today met Gujarat's Industry Minister Anil Patel and Energy Minister Saurabh Patel here and held parleys on areas of economic cooperation that her country and Gujarat could pursue.

The Ministers extended invitations to the British companies to participate in the Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors' Summit that will be held in January next year.

Ms Tridel said she was very much impressed by the economic and industrial progress that Gujarat has achieved. She discussed at length about the state's plans of developing Special Economic Zones (SEZ) with Industry Commissioner Arvind Agarwal, Industry Secretary Rajgopalan and Chief Secretary Sudhir Mankad.

She also met Bhagyesh Jha, Managing Director of Industrial Extension Bureau (iNDEXTb), a government body that promotes NRI and foreign direct investments, an official statement said.
