BJP will create Telangana in 3 months of coming to power

Hyderabad, Oct 3 (UNI) Promising a separate Telangana within three months if the NDA came to power in the next Lok Sabha elections, BJP National Secretary B Dattatreya today called for a people's movement cutting across party lines to press the demand.

Talking to media after hosting a Dusserah Milan as per Telangana tradition, he said the statehood sentiment would play a crucial role in the next Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh.

Maintaining that the issue would not be decided in the by-poll to the Karimnagar Lok Sabha seat, the BJP leader, sporting a Telangana turban, underscored the need for carrying forward a peaceful agitation till the next elections.

Speaker K R Suresh Reddy, State Congress President K Keshava Rao, Congress MP Madhu Yaski Goud, TRS leaders A Narendra and N Narasimha Reddy were among those who attended the 'Dusserah Milan'.

K Lakshman Bapu, who had fought for separate Telangana earlier and former Uttar Pradesh Governor Satyanarayana Reddy were honoured on the occasion.
