6 killed in road accident in Bengal

Kolkata, Oct 3 (UNI) At least six people were killed when the car carrying them collided head-on with a truck near Toll bridge at Dankuni in the Hooghly district late last night.

Police here today said all the deceased belonged to the same family.

While a woman and a child died on the spot, the rest succumbed to their wounds in the hospital.

The accident occurred when the driver tried to overtake another vehicle.

Details were awaited.
