19 more AIADMK candidates elected unopposed

Chennai, Oct 3 (UNI) Nineteen more AIADMK candidates were elected unopposed as Councillors and Panchayat Union Presidents in various districts of Tamil Nadu with elections to local bodies scheduled to be held on October 13 and 15.

With this, 74 AIADMK nominees have so far been elected unopposed, Party General Secretary J Jayalalithaa said and congratulated them, a party release here said.

Ms Jayalalithaa had sent individual congratulatory messages to all the winners, the release added.
