Two drown during immersion in Bihar
Hajipur, Oct 2 (UNI) Two people today drowned in the Gandak river near Jalalpur Ghat under Lalganj police station of Vaishali district when they went to immerse the earthen pots(Kalsi) on the conclusion of Durga Puja.
Police said Rakesh Shukla and Mantu--brothers--were swept away by the swirling river as they waded into the river to immerse the holy pots installed in their house for the Durga Puja.
The bodies were fished out of the river, sources added.
