Key accused in tantri attack case likely to surrender tomorrow
Kochi, Oct 2 (UNI) Bachu Rahman, a key accused in the Sabarimala tantri attack case, is likely to surrender before the police here tomorrow, as per court orders.
The Kerala High Court had on September 19 directed Bachu, who had moved the court for anticipatory bail, to surrender before the Investigating Officer on October three.
According to police, Bachu is a small time television actor and business associate of main accused Shobha John, said to be a key link in an alleged sex racket.
Shobha, who was granted bail by the court, had said last week that Bachu will surrender on October three and reveal the ''whole conspiracy'' in the case.
Police say that it was Bachu who arranged the 'goonda' gang, which attacked the then Sabarimala tantri Kandararu Mohanararu in Shobha John's Link Laxman flat here on July 23.
According to Kandararu Mohanararu, the goonda gang robbed him of his gold jewellery and money and also forcibly took photographs of him with a woman in a compromising position.
The Travancore Devaswom Board sacked Kandararu Mohanararu on July 24 after reports of his alleged involvement in a sex racket surfaced.
