Key accused Bachu Rahman likely to surrender tomorrow
Kochi, Oct 2 (UNI) Bachu Rahman, a key accused in the Sabarimala tantri attack case, is likely to surrender before the police here tomorrow, as per the court orders.
The Kerala High Court had on September 19 directed Bachu, who had moved the court for anticipatory bail, to surrender before the Investigating Officer tomorrow.
According to police, Bachu, a small time television actor and business associate of main accused Shobha John, is said to be a key link in an alleged sex racket.
Shobha, who was granted bail by the court, had said last week that Bachu would surrender on October three and reveal the ''whole conspiracy'' in the case.
Police say it was Bachu who arranged the 'goonda' gang, which attacked the then Sabarimala tantri Kandararu Mohanararu at Shobha John's flat here on July 23.
According to Kandararu Mohanararu, the gang robbed him of his gold jewellery and money and forcibly took photographs of him with a woman in a compromising position.
The Travancore Devaswom Board had sacked Kandararu Mohanararu on July 24 after reports of his alleged involvement in a sex racket.
