Jagjit Singh says he is not performing in any show in Kashmir
Srinagar, Oct 2 (UNI) Renowned ghazal singer Jagjit Singh has denied that he will perform in any musical show in Kashmir.
The noted singer has informed the Rotary Club of Kashmir that an organisation was deceiving the people by selling tickets of 'Sham-e-Ghazal' whereby an impression has been given that he would perform in the show.
The Rotary Club has informed the public that Mr Singh will not be performing in any show here.
The club was informed by Mr Jagjit Singh's private secretary Kuldeep Desai that the singer would be performing at Delhi and Chandigarh on October 28 and 29 respectively.
An organisation, The Trans Asia Private Limited, has been selling tickets and giving unauthorised advertisements in local dailies and television channels informing the people that the ghazal maestro would be performing in the valley.
''The organisation is deceiving the people. It has no consent or authority from Mr Singh to issue advertisements in print and electronic media, besides selling the tickets,'' Mr Desai informed the Rotary Club.
