Five killed by naxals

Jagdalpur, Oct 2 (UNI) Five people have been killed by naxals in separate incidents in Dantewara and Bastar districts of Chhattisgarh last night, police said today.

Naxals triggered a landmine blast and killed three people, believing them to be policemen, while they were going from Dantewara to Bijapur Police District.

Tirkhi (37) and Nake (40) died on the spot, while seriously injured Sunil Kujur (35) reached home somehow but succumbed to his injuries later.

In another incident, ultras took Nago Lingo from his house at Santoshpura village in Bijapur Police District last night and later gunned him down for his involvement in the anti-naxal 'Salwa Judum' campaign.

Meanwhile, naxals killed a man on the suspicion that he was a police informant in the Bastar district. The deceased was yet to be identified.
