Chautala demands inquiry into Agrofed job scam

Ambala, Oct 2 (UNI) Former Haryana Chief Minister and Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) supremo Om Prakash Chautala holding local Congress MLA D K Bansal and Union Minister of State for Urban Employment Selja responsible for multi-crore Agrofed job scam, demanded that an inquiry commission headed by a sitting judge of the High Court be constituted.

He alleged that Selja had purchased two bungalows at Ambala Cantonment with money collected through fraudulent means by the Agrofed.

Mr Chautala, while addressing a press conference here today, said that the Central Minister Selja should resign on moral grounds and the MLA Bansal too should tender his resignation for his alleged involvement in the scam.

He said that if Selja did not quit voluntarily, she should be dismissed as was done with former Union Foreign Minister Natwar Singh.

Commenting on the Jessica Lal case, Mr Chautala said that Venod Sharma should be imprisoned for destroying the evidence under Section 102 of IPC.
