BSF beat ONGC in Shastri Hockey opener

New Delhi, Oct 2 (UNI) Formidable Border Security Force (BSF) began their campaign with a 1-0 win over ONGC in the inaugural match of the Lal Bahadur Shastri Hockey tournament here today.

Varinderjit Singh converted his side's second penalty corner in the 35th minute to score the all-important goal.

The securitymen dominated the match, earning two more penalty corners (16th and 51st minutes) while ONGC got one in the 49th minute.
