42 cows meant for slaughter seized, 5 arrested

Lucknow, Oct 2 (UNI) Police today seized 42 cows being taken for slaughter in Pakhwara area of Moradabad district and arrested five people in this regard.

Acting on a tip-off, the police intercepted two trucks on Amroha road and recovered the cattle.

The five accused were identified as Anis Ahmad, Usman, Anwar Ali, Kalua and Zulfiqar.

A case had been registered against them.
