4 killed, 17 seriously hurt as buses collide

Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, Oct 2 (UNI) Four persons were killed and 17 seriously injured when two state transport corporation buses collided head-on at Chinnanargunam between Villupuram and Dindivanam this evening.

Police said the buses were travelling in opposite directions, one from Chennai to Tirukovilur and the other from Kumbakonam to Chennai.

One of the deceased was identified as bus driver Muthuswamy (40).

The injured were admitted to the Pondicherry Government Hospital.
