Transport Dept. decides introduce CNG run bus

Agartala, Oct 1 (UNI) The Tripura government has decided to introduce a number of buses run by CNG on various routes in the adjoining areas connecting this capital city.

The Tripura Road Transport Corporation (TRTC), A government of Tripura Undertaking, has invited applications from the interested parties to purchase buses and introduce CNG services on various routes.

The department invited application for fifty such buses on first phase. The application invited by the TRTC few days ago.

However, the CNG run vehicles, mainly the autorickshaws, are expected to start plying in the city within this month as works for this purpose, including filling stations are nearly completetion, official sources said.

After experiment, the state government would take decision regarding introduction of such vehicles in other two major towns of the state --Dharmanagar and Udaipur in North and South districts respectively.
