Spirit seized in Palakkad

Palakkad, Kerala, Oct 1 (UNI) Police today seized 11,500 litres of spirit worth Rs 12 lakh from a lorry at Kulkallur in Chittur in this district.

Police said the lorry, coming from Pollachi, was carrying 340 plastic cans, each containing 34 litres of spirit.

The driver Manoj Mathew(31) was arrested and the vehicle was impounded, police added.
