License of public distribution centres cancelled

Aurangabad, Oct 1: District administration has cancelled the license of 20 Public Distribution Centres (PDC) for irregularities and black-marketing detected during a special drive.

Sub divisional officer Arvind Kumar Singh today said about 21 PDC's were found flouting the rules of distribution of ration and keronsene oil to the people below poverty line.

Erring distribution centres were found adopting dubious practices to divert the ration and Kereosene oil in open market by tampering with stock register, following which their licenses were cancelled.
