Intermittent rains lash Mumbai, its suburbs

Mumbai, Oct 1 (UNI) Intermittent rains have lashed the megapolis and its suburbs since morning.

Vehicular traffic was not affected due to the rains, as most people preferred to stay indoors as today being a Sunday.

The suburban train services on the Western Railway were running few minutes behind schedule due to a mega block (repair and maintainance work).

Colaba has recorded 79 mm of rainfall between 0830 hrs and 1730 hrs, while Santacruz has recorded 23 mm of rainfall till 1430 hrs, weather bureau said.

It has forecast spells of rains and thundershowers in parts of the city and suburbs in the next 24 hours.
