IMA cadet commits suicide

Dehradun, Oct 1 (UNI) A cadet at the Indian Military Academy here today committed suicide, police said.

The body of Devendra Kumar Sharma, a resident of Solan in Himachal Pradesh, was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his room at 0600 hrs this morning.

The 23-year-old cadet was rushed to the IMA Section Hospital where he was declared brought dead.

No suicide note was recovered from the spot, and the body has been sent for autopsy, police added.

The deceased had joined the prestigious academy in January 2002.
