Stalin to launch campaign on Oct 4 for local body poll

Chennai, Sep 30 (UNI) Ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) Deputy General Secretary and Tamil Nadu Local Administration Minister M K Stalin will launch his eight-day campaign for local body polls and by-election to Madurai Central Assembly constituency on October four.

Mr Stalin would begin his tour in Kanniyakumari District of October four, followed by Tuticorin, Ramanathapuram and Theni districts on October five, six and seven respectively, a party release here said.

He would spend two days in Madurai on October eight and nine in view of the by-elections and two days in Chennai, where the DMK would stake the claim for the Mayoral post in the Chennai Corporation. He would campaign in South Chennai on October 10 and in North Chennai the next day, the release added.
